Inspired by its sportswear apparel roots, this 35-year design house transforms lush fabrics and innovative designs sourced from around the globe into durable, comfortable, stylish uniforms that fit and flatter you naturally - with no ironing or overspending needed.
Healing Hands was founded in New York’s famous Garment District – but its real inspiration started in a hospital ICU. Founder, Bansi Lakhani, just 42 years old and CEO of Krazy Kat Sportswear, suffered a massive heart attack. His life-changing experience during open-heart surgery recovery left two powerful takeaways: (1) the critical role of his nurses: “healing angels who cared for me like I was family”; and (2) their stiff, scratchy, ill-fitting, boxy uniforms!
Lakhani was inspired: “If these nurses are providing such wonderful patient care already, imagine the possibilities of better patient care, resulting from the happiness of wearing luxurious uniforms. Ones that make them feel good, look good, perform well, and require no ironing or extra care. I promised myself I’d do something to repay them.”
Today, this father-and-son firm continues to delight healthcare professionals with luxurious, comfortable and surprisingly affordable uniforms.
