Dr. Areisa Peters was born in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and raised in Indianapolis, IN. She graduated from Oakwood University, a historically Black University (HBCU) in Huntsville, AL with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology (2016). After graduation, she went on to attend Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM, 2021). At IUSM, Areisa discovered her passion for women’s health and decided to pursue a career in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Because of this passion, she decided to additionally pursue her master’s of public health in women’s and reproductive health after her third year of medical school. She went on to attend Johns Hopkins School of Public Health (2020), serving as Co-leader of the MPH class and VP of elections. Her thesis focused on the reproductive autonomy among young Black women experiencing reproductive coercion in Baltimore, MD. She remains passionate about women’s health education, addressing racial/ethnic sexual and reproductive health disparities, patient health literacy and self-advocacy. She is now an OBGYN resident at the University of Florida.
Dr. Linda Lange, DO, DPT
Dr. Linda Lange was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and raised in Miami. She graduated from Andrews University with a Bachelor of Health Science Degree (2007) and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree (2009). Dr. Lange worked as a physical therapist for 8 years. In that time, she managed out-patient PT clinics as an assistant clinic director for a large privately owned company, started her own outpatient PT practice and consulting service, and then worked in the acute care setting. After 8 years of practice, she decided to go to medical school. Dr. Lange graduated from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine - Bradenton in 2021. She is now an anesthesiology resident at University of Florida. Her mission is to show women of all ages that there is no cut off or age limit for reaching goals and changing your life.
