Our pledge to Customers, Team Members, and Vendor Partners.

It is vital to our strength and ongoing success all voices are heard and valued at UA. We firmly believe in fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace that values and respects individuals of all races, genders, sexual orientations, and more. We recognize that diversity brings a richness of perspectives, ideas, and experiences that fuel innovation and drive success.

We are committed to creating an environment where everyone feels welcomed, included, and empowered to be their authentic selves. By embracing diversity, we celebrate the unique backgrounds and talents of our employees and customers, enabling us to create a stronger and more vibrant organization. We stand united in our commitment to championing diversity, breaking down barriers, and building a better future where everyone can thrive and succeed together.

We are truly a global family—and our Empowering Change Committee (ECC) was developed in 2020 to reflect the diversity of our workforce and the places they live.

Non-Profit Donations

This year, we focused more on organizations that serve people in need of healthcare services – and those who provide them. As always, those receiving the donations share our passion for helping people in need. I am pleased to announce that in 2024 we made donations to nine non-profit organizations.

The contributions totaling $25,000 were based on recommendations from our employee-led ECC. These funds will support programs that and are designated to preserve and enhance physical, mental and emotional health, especially for individuals and communities in crisis. The organizations receiving funding are:

Nurses House - $4,000

Nurses House grants cover rent or mortgage payments to ensure nurses facing a serious medical crisis don’t lose their home as a result.

National Black Nurses Association - $4,000

NBNA chapters volunteer to provide health education and screenings to community residents in collaboration with community-based partners.

World Central Kitchen - $5,000

WCK has had a strong presence in Florida and other states during hurricanes and other humanitarian emergencies. Their team of “food first responders” gets meals to people in times of crisis.

Bandera Blanca - $2,000

Bandera Blanca assists families with at-risk children by ensuring access to food and special-needs education.

ALCCI/Amigos Costa Rica - $1,000

For 40 years, ALCCI has provided lodging, meals, medicines and more for children diagnosed with cancer, and their families.

Foundation for Initiatives in Development and Education for All (IDEA) – $4,000

$2,000 to UDAAN, providing educational resources to needy children; and $2,000 to ASHAKIRAN, supporting skills development courses for women and youth.

Fundación Grupo Punta Cana - $1,000

To give assistance and support to 3,000 impoverished, disabled children in La Altagracia province.

Mariposa DR Foundation - $1,000

The Mariposa Girls Leadership Program educates, employs and empowers girls living in extreme poverty, developing marketable skills and leadership qualities.

Doctors Without Borders - $3,000

Delivering a wide range of medical services in Port-au-Prince and other locations, including general healthcare, and treatment for burns, trauma and injuries from violence and displacement.

This year, we focused more on organizations that serve people in need of healthcare services – and those who provide them. As always, those receiving the donations share our passion for helping people in need.
